Sub: – Revision of Designations of Staff of Accounts Department.
The issue of re-designation of staff of Accounts Department over Indian Railways has been under deliberation between staff side and official side for considerable time. After thorough examination, it has been decided to revise the designation as under:-
| S.No. | Existing Designation | GP and Level | Revised Designation |
| 1. | Junior Account | GP 2800 & Level -5 | Accountant |
| 2. | Account Assistant | GP 4200 & Level-6 | Sr. Accountant |
| 3. | Sr. Account Assistant | GP 4800 & Level -8 | Sr. Accountant (I) |
2. The revised designation will not entail any change in classification of posts as Group ‘C’, their pay levels, method of recruitment, existing duties, responsibilities, seniority and avenues of promotion.
3, The above issues with the approval of competent authority.
