Regulation of the Date of Next Increment in case of extraordinary leave
(without medical certificate) after implementation of the CCS (RP)
Rules, 2008.
• If a government employee's qualifying service falls below six months between July 1st and June 30th of the following year due to Earned Leave (EOL) without Medical Certificate (MC), their annual increment will be postponed to the next year.
• Exclusions:
• EOL granted due to inability to join a new station due to civil commotion.
• EOL granted for pursuing higher technical and scientific studies. These types of EOL will be considered as qualifying service for increment purposes.
EOL granted for the following purposes automatically counts as qualifying service for pension and for increment without any further sanctions:
(1) EOL granted due to inability of a Government servant to join or rejoin duty on account of civil commotion.
(2) EOL granted to a Government servant for prosecuting higher technical and scientific studies.
In
case of qualifying service is less than six months on account of EOL
(without MC) between 1st July to 30th June of next year, the date of
increment shall be postponed to next year. EOL granted due to inability
to join new station on account of civil commotion and for prosecuting
higher technical and scientific studies will automatically be counted as
qualifying service.
