Widowed daughter is eligible for family pension. Her name may be co authorised in the PPO at the time of the pensioner/ family pensioner. The following is the model draft for the same.
Subject: Request for Co-Authorization of Family Pension in PPO No. ………. to Widowed Daughter
Respected Sir/Madam,
1. In accordance with the Department of Personnel and Training O.M. No. 1/13/09-P&PW(E) dated 28.04.2011, family pension may be granted to an eligible widowed daughter after 30.08.2004. Accordingly, I am making this request as per Rule 54(2) of the CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 to include my widowed daughters name for the inclusion of family pension in the PPO.
2. It is mentioned in the aforementioned OM that the names of eligible family members, such as a widowed daughter, may be added to the Pension Payment Order (PPO) issued to a retired government servant if there is no other prior eligible family pension claimant except the spouse.
3. I would like to inform you that my wife, Smt. ………… expired on …………., and our dependent widowed daughter, Smt. …………, is not employed, does not earn any income, and is fully dependent on me. A copy of the death certificate of my son-in-law, Sri………(husband of Smt. ……….), who passed away on …………, is enclosed for your reference.
4. As my wife has passed away, my daughter will be eligible for family pension after my demise, as stipulated in the orders mentioned above. Co-authorizing her name in the PPO will ensure she receives the family pension without any complications.
5. I am enclosing the necessary certificates confirming her dependence on me after the death of her husband, along with her income and employment status.
I therefore humbly request you to kindly co-authorize my daughter’s name in both halves of the PPO for family pension, as per the rules. Your kind consideration and approval will be of immense help to her in securing her financial stability after my passing.
