List of changes in POS Version 5.1 || Renaming and discontinuation of Postal products : Implemented w.e.f 16/12/2024

 

List of Products rename and discontinued

List of Changes made in Post Office Regulation 2024 implemented in Post Offices in the latest version POS v5.2 which will be implemented w.e.f 16/12/2024 in a phased manner:

• VPP(vas service) is renamed to COD Retail
• Registered Printed Books service is discontinued
• Registered Pattern & Sample packet service is discontinued
• Maximum weight of Registered letter is 500 Grams(Five hundred grams) (Earlier it was 2000 Grams)
• Maximum Limit of EMO (Electronic money order) is increased to Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand)(Earlier it was Rs.5000)
• Only 4 IPO denominations: 10, 20, 50 & 100 will be available from now onwards (A
