Is Specimen Signature (SS) verification to be done at Account Office for BO withdrawal Rs.5000 to Rs.20000 ??

1) As per 69(7) of POSB CBS Manual corrected upto 31.12.2021, for SB withdrawal above Rs.20000, SS verification should be done at AO.

2) For BO withdrawal of Rs.5000 to Rs.20000 also SS should be verified by Account office(AO).

3) Rule 69(4) talks about scrutiny of BO withdrawal vouchers which states that 

i) In AO, signature on the withdrawal slip should be checked with SS available on the system.

ii) AO should ensure that Amount of warrant of payment is duly incorporated in BO daily account under SB withdrawal.

iii) Date of withdrawal should be entered if withdrawal above Rs.20000 in SB 45 register.
