It is completely girl's discretion whether to continue account or not after marriage. It is not mandatory to close the account after marriage.
Rules are very clear. If she wants to close the account after marriage, then she has to close it with in 3 months after marriage. If she fails to close after 3 months of marriage, then she has to keep the account for 21 years from the date of opening.
